High-Speed, Robotic Servo Spindle

The PushCorp STC1503-BT30 high-speed servo spindle is an ideal solution for robotic, material-removal applications such as:

The STC1503-BT30 features a powerful 3.0 hp [2.2 kW] servo motor that provides constant speed. This equipment is designed to mount in a parallel or perpendicular orientation on the AFD310 and AFD72 force compliance devices. As a result, it has never been easier to program beautiful and consistent surface finishes. If your automation project requires high-speed deburring, sanding, or grinding, the robotic servo spindle will work with your industrial robots by ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, Yaskawa, Comau, Epson, Kawasaki, & Mitsubishi.

The STC1503-BT30 may also be mounted directly to the robot with no force compliance device. This opens the door for rigid applications such as automated routing and deflashing.

The motor shaft is configured to accept standard BT30 tapered tool holders. Customers can choose to use standard, off-the-shelf CNC tooling, as well as custom PushCorp toolholders. Together, these components allow for a wide range of abrasive disks, wheels, drill bits and cutting tools. The STC1503-BT30 servo spindle comes standard with quick-change functionality. Simply supply 90 PSI to drop off a toolholder, then release the air pressure to pick up a new one with a fresh abrasive.

The Kollmorgen S724 amplifier powers the servo spindle, as well as provides analog speed control and digital I/O. This can be ordered on its own or integrated into a UL certified control panel.
