The PushCorp SWS100-1.2 Servo Weld Shaver has the capability to transform a varying weld bead profile into a consistent predetermined surface slightly above or below the surrounding parent metal.  The Weld Shaver excels at removing softer metals like silicon bronze and aluminum, but can handle lighter cuts of carbon steel as well.

A four inch diameter slotting cutter, powered by a 1.2 horsepower (895 W) servo motor, is positioned relative to the part surfact with adjustable rolling contact wheels.  This allows the cutter to machine away the exact amount of material desired.  The eight replaceable carbide cutter inserts ensure a consistent, smooth cut and long life.  Easy access to the inserts allows them to be changed in a matter of minutes.
